About the Role
Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Consultant Social Worker to join the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub in Ipswich. This is a fast‑paced, decision‑focused role requiring strong analytical skills and extensive MASH knowledge.
Working arrangements: 3 days a week in the office
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse information following social care referrals.
- Assess risk and need in line with Suffolk’s Thresholds Document.
- Make clear, evidence‑based recommendations for next steps.
- Work collaboratively within the MASH environment, engaging with multi‑agency partners to build an accurate picture of risk.
- Ensure timely and high‑quality decision-making to safeguard children and families.
About You
- MASH experience is essential
- Experienced Social Worker with strong assessment and decision‑making skills.
- Confident working in a busy, multi‑agency environment.
- Able to work on-site full‑time at Landmark House.
