The Opportunity:
SEND/SEMH Graduate Teaching Assistant
- September- End of Academic year (July)
- Must hold a degree (2:2 or above)
- Aspiring educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
- Manchester M40
- Secondary school
- Monday to Friday - Full-Time (35 hours per week)
- Term time only
- £500-530 per week
The successful graduate must:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree
- Be able to demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and integration in both one-on-one interactions and collaborative work with colleagues and young learners.
- Have a great understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be able to apply this knowledge in practice by supporting innovative strategies to empower our young learners.
- Have a genuine interest in education and helping students achieve their potential.
- Be organized and manage time effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those who require additional assistance.
- Help create and prepare teaching resources and materials.
- Assist in the management of classroom behavior and maintaining a safe and positive environment.
- Help with administrative tasks including monitoring student progress and attendance.
- Provide feedback on student progress and help identify areas of improvement.
