Summary
Join our team as a multi skilled assistant at our autumn calving dairy herd in Carmarthen. This role is vital to maintaining our high standards of animal care and farm productivity, supporting our mission to deliver quality dairy produce through sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks, including milking, feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring.
Operate and maintain farm equipment such as feeder wagon, telehandlers, fertiliser spreader and hand tools.
Support forage management activities to optimize yield from forage crops.
Perform general farm maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Help with herd management tasks during the autumn calving season.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the farm.
Assist in record-keeping related to animal health and farm activities.
Contribute positively to a team environment focused on high standards of care and productivity.
Qualifications
Previous experience in animal care and tractor operation is essential along with a willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of farm machinery and tools is advantageous.
Physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting are required.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive approach to health and safety procedures on the farm.

Full driving license is essential
