Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to the head chef or sous chef
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Contribute to menu development by providing input based on culinary expertise
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and presentation standards
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism
- Prior experience serving customers or assisting in front-of-house duties is advantageous
- Culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not essential
Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
