The Role:
As Senior Client Accounting Manager, you will lead and develop a team of up to 10 accounting professionals while overseeing the delivery of accurate and timely accounting services across a varied client portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of up to 10 Client Accountants and finance professionals
- Managing team performance, workload allocation and resource planning
- Conducting regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and coaching sessions
- Ensuring service delivery targets, KPIs and compliance standards are achieved
- Preparing and reviewing client and statutory accounts
- Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting and VAT processes
- Acting as a key escalation point for complex accounting queries
- Building strong relationships with clients, auditors and key stakeholders
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Supporting finance projects, system developments and account transitions
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislation and company policies
What They're Looking For:
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Significant experience within an accounting or finance environment
- Previous team leadership or management experience
- Strong client accounting, statutory accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- The ability to motivate, develop and lead a high-performing team
Candidates who are fully or part-qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA or AAT will be highly advantageous.
