We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and ambitious Warehouse & Fulfilment Operative who wants to build a long-term career with our business. No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive and always willing to get stuck in wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving inbound deliveries.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Picking and packing customer orders.
- Preparing orders for dispatch.
- Working across our chilled, frozen and ambient warehouse facilities.
- Processing orders through our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Printing delivery paperwork and dispatch labels.
- Carrying out stock checks and inventory control.
- Ensuring accurate stock rotation (FIFO).
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
- Assisting with customer fulfilment operations.
- Helping drivers load vehicles where required.
- Supporting other warehouse tasks as directed by management.
- Following all food safety, health & safety and company procedures.
- Assisting with any additional operational duties required by the business.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous warehouse operative experience.
- Good computer skills.
- Able to learn and confidently use warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible with working hours.
- Comfortable working weekends when required.
- Willing to work in chilled, frozen and ambient environments.
Desirable
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous fulfilment or logistics experience.
- Experience working within food or temperature-controlled warehouses.
Hours
This is a full-time position.
Working hours will vary depending on business requirements and customer demand. Flexibility is essential, as early starts, late finishes and weekend working may be required.
