New Directions Education is currently recruiting a PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a specialist setting in Leeds from September.

The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD
- Assist with personal care and medical needs (training provided where required)
- Support students with communication, sensory, and physical activities
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage independence and promote pupil wellbeing
We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with children or adults with PMLD, SEN, or complex needs (desirable)
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
- Confidence supporting personal care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
- A proactive and positive attitude
