Transport Clerk – Stafford
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00am to 14:00pm
- 40 hours per week
What You Will Do
- Communicating effectively with HGV drivers, driver mates, third parties, and office colleagues
- Manning the outbound loads, generating driver paperwork, issuing drivers their assigned work/journey and conducting the pre-brief
- Completing the de-brief, investigating any route or time discrepancies and escalating issues to a manager
- Collating, recording and reporting information as required for a safe, smooth, efficient delivery operation. Maintaining all relevant systems so they are accurate and used to their full effectiveness
- Sharing relevant information across your shift and escalating issues in a professional manner to shift managers
- Monitoring scheduled outbound loads to ensure timely deliveries and communicating any delays in a timely manner
- Provide administrative support to the Transport Coordinators
- Feeding back to Managers common trends, patterns and concerns with any queries or questions colleagues continually raise or information that indicates there may be a problem
- Being approachable and confidential; building trust-based relationships across the operation
- Keeping workstations clean and tidy

- Working knowledge and experience of transport operations
- Experience using traffic management systems
