We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible person to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a community hospitality environment, ensuring customers enjoy their experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a similar setting is required. A positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are key qualities for this position.
Duties
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses and cleaning surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor stock levels
- Assist in setting up and packing down the bar area before and after shifts
- Engage with customers to create a friendly and welcoming environment
- Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods using strong time management skills
Experience
- Previous experience in bar work is required
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Experience in serving or working behind a bar is required
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for customer interaction
