We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Day Healthcare Assistant (Enhanced) to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality, person-centred care that enables our residents to enjoy fulfilling, comfortable, and meaningful days.
This is a key enhanced role where you will support the shift Coordinator with medication administration, act as a mentor to other Healthcare Assistants, and help guide new starters by leading by example and promoting safe, high-quality care.
You'll ensure our residents feel safe, valued, and supported throughout the day, delivering care with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Your Role
You'll provide compassionate personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance while helping residents maintain their independence and wellbeing. As an Enhanced Healthcare Assistant, you'll also take on additional responsibilities, including medication administration and supporting the wider care team to ensure the smooth running of each shift
What You'll Be Doing

Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, continence care, and mobility.

Assisting residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional support.

Encouraging independence and supporting residents to participate in activities and daily routines.

Administering medication safely (following training and competency sign-off).

Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns promptly.

Maintaining accurate digital care records using electronic care systems.

Supporting the smooth running of the shift and providing guidance to colleagues when needed.

Promoting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Following individual care plans to deliver truly person-centred care.

Communicating effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
What We're Looking For

Experienced HCA (minimum Care Certificate required)

A kind, calm, and empathetic nature

Experience in care (ideally with dementia or complex needs)

Confidence to take on responsibility and support others on shift

Medication training (or willingness to complete)

Basic IT skills for digital record-keeping

Strong team player with a positive attitude
Pay Scale

£15.00 per hour
-
£18.75 per hour (weekends)

£30.00 per hour (bank holidays)
