The Sir Thomas Hotel is a boutique family operated business, with newly refurbished guest rooms, an excellent restaurant, and a well-stocked bar. The Hotel is located in a position that provides easy access to all of Liverpool’s historic attractions and is full of character internally and externally.
We seek an experienced Food & Beverage Assistant who can join the hotel’s team of hospitality professionals to achieve and enhance the exemplary levels of service deserved by our customers.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will provide a warm, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are always delivered and maintained in line with our guest expectation.
F&B Assistants are expected to engage with our guests, create a positive brand image for the Hotel, creating goodwill and repeat custom.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
- Provide table service.
- Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively, and an exceptional service is delivered to guests at all times.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
- Any other duties as directed by the Restaurant and Bar Manager or other members of the management.
Work and Experience:
- Excellent food service skills, including the ability to carry multiple plates and to deliver drinks on trays.
- Ability to work well with other team members and to follow directions from supervisors.
- Excellent knowledge of food and drink pairings, particularly wine pairings.
- Ability to mix cocktails and create drinks to order.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- You will have a passion for hospitality and customer service and recognise the importance of giving great service to customers.
- Have an outgoing and engaging personality and be driven by the challenge of working in a busy environment which requires flexibility and working well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, confidence and an eye for detail are all key to being successful in this role.
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Liverpool L1 6BB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- F&B Assistant: 2 years (preferred)
