I am an 85-year-old lady living in Drummore. I am severely visually impaired and have some health conditions that mean I need support to continue living independently in my own home.
I am looking for a kind, reliable, and self employed Personal Assistant to provide practical help and general support. The role includes preparing daily meals, helping me with my clothing, prompting and supporting me with my medication, carrying out light household tasks, and providing the assistance I need to manage day-to-day life safely and independently.
The position is for 16 hours per week, worked over four or five days. There may also be opportunities for additional hours to cover annual leave or sickness.
The rate of pay is £16.52 per hour, paid weekly, with 5.6 weeks' paid annual leave on a pro rata basis. I am looking someone who is self-employed and the person would be paid weekly. A satisfactory PVG Scheme membership is essential.
Previous experience in a care or support role would be an advantage, although reliability, compassion, and a supportive approach are the most important qualities.
