We act as the agency on behalf of our client. We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen food safety, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences With fresh ingredient. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with fresh food experience, culinary expertise, and a commitment to food safety standards. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations whilst on duty and supporting the head chef on busier shifts, ensuring the highest quality of food service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Duties
- ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety practices and maintain hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Support head chef to order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management and Head Chef, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistency in food quality were appropiate
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of dishes
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen food safety management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively in the absence of the head chef
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent culinary skills with proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure when supervising the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
- Experience in food preparation, menu development, and inventory control
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards related to serving guests efficiently and courteously

Pay: £13.00-£13.25 per hour
