Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Maryport, Cumbria
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term
Pay Rate: £13.69 - £16.63 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Maryport is seeking a Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
This is a full-time, long-term position working within a nurturing Early Years setting, supporting children at the very start of their learning journey.
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
- Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Has recent experience working in an EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception).
- Is nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
- Can work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service or willingness to apply).
- Full and Up-to-date CV with all education and employment history.
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
