Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests or residents. Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable. Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, communal areas, and private residences according to established standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust surfaces to ensure cleanliness and organisation
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good order and notify management when stock levels are low
- Adhere to organisational policies regarding hygiene standards and confidentiality
Skills
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Experience in janitorial services or general cleaning roles is preferred
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
