Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Medicine Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting medical supplies and prescriptions safely and efficiently to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to handle deliveries in a timely manner. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive their medications promptly and securely.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver medicines and medical supplies to designated locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Verify delivery details against orders and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times, conducting routine inspections before and after shifts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling of fragile items.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse environments is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling medical supplies.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with customers and team members professionally.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic conditions is beneficial but not essential. This role is vital in supporting healthcare services by ensuring timely medication delivery while maintaining safety standards throughout all operations.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
