Job Purpose:
Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Painter at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure vehicles are prepared and masked to the highest standards ready for paint application.
- Spray painting of the vehicles using water based and solvent paints.
- Identify best repair methods and communicate with preppers/ maskers to highlight any issues.
- Knowledge and ability to perform different paint applications, IR, 3 stage pearls, tinted lacquer, etc
- Ensure company equipment is maintained.
- To ensure daily checks are being carried out.
- Responsible for ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
- Complete EPR logs to ensure daily checks are being carried out.
- Ensure all PPE is worn at all times.
- Any ad hoc duties on request.
Essential:
- Previous automotive painting experience.
- Previous experience of fast paced body shop.
- Driving licence required.
