Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join our team, with responsibilities that include travel across the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in fire alarm systems. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems on-site at locations across the UK and Europe
- Interpret and work from detailed schematics, system design documents, and technical drawings.
- Perform electrical connections, mechanical assembly, and integration of fire alarm components within existing building infrastructure.
- Document commissioning procedures, test results, and system configurations accurately for client records.
- Troubleshoot system faults or malfunctions during commissioning phases and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety standards, building codes, and client requirements.
- Travel extensively across the UK and <LOCATION> as required to support multiple project sites.
Skills
- Strong understanding of system design principles related to fire alarm systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings and schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to installing fire alarm hardware within various building environments.
- Electrical experience with wiring, circuit testing, and working safely around electrical components.
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex fire alarm systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
