Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shopfitting Intern (Part-Time) to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist in creating detailed shopfitting designs using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Support the development of schematics and technical drawings for construction projects.
- Contribute to system design and layout planning for retail or commercial spaces.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction processes and gather real-world insights into shopfitting implementation.
- Help prepare presentation materials, including graphic designs and visualisations, to communicate concepts effectively.
- Maintain organised digital files of drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
Skills
- Proficiency or keen interest in CAD software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of system design principles relevant to construction or shopfitting projects.
- Basic understanding of construction processes and schematic development.
- Strong graphic design skills for creating visual presentations and concept illustrations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new software tools such as Grasshopper 3D and other industry-specific programmes.
