General Manager – Little Dessert Shop (Birmingham)
We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy dessert shop in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of staff.
- Delegate daily tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Handle customer complaints, queries, and feedback professionally.
- Create and manage staff rotas.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory control.
- Purchase stock and supplies from designated stores and suppliers as required.
- Ensure the shop is fully stocked and operational at all times.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain smooth daily operations.
- Support staff development and maintain a positive working environment.
Requirements
- Previous management experience in hospitality, food service, retail, or a similar management role.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
- Allergy Awareness Certificate (essential).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
- Ability to purchase and transport stock when required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to the needs of the business.
Working Hours
This role requires flexibility, with shifts varying between 12:00 PM and 2:00 AM, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and busy trading periods.
