Trade Recruit is working on behalf of our fast-growing client in Crawley to appoint a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in glazing or construction who is confident generating leads, building relationships, and securing new business opportunities.
This is a predominantly office-based role, with time allocated to external meetings, networking, and client engagement to support business growth.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and securing glazing projects and contracts. You will play a key role in driving revenue and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the glazing sector
· Generate and follow up on leads to secure new contracts
· Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
· Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handover and delivery of projects
· Prepare and present proposals and quotations to clients
· Attend client meetings, site visits, and networking opportunities as required
· Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline opportunities
· Always represent the business professionally
Candidate Requirements
· Previous experience in business development, sales, or account management
· Background in glazing, construction, or a related industry is highly desirable
· Proven ability to generate leads and close deals
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Confident building and maintaining client relationships
· Highly organised with the ability to manage a sales pipeline
· Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
· Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
