We are a newly formed UK Logistics company with core staff having collectively over 75 years experience in the shipping and transport industry.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Manager to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy to meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transport plans that maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities and systems kept up to date.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards within the transport sector.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support Transport Manager in daily operational responsibilities
- Deliver KPI’s and provide reports/updates to senior management
Skills
- Strong management skills to oversee transport operations effectively.
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a transport/ traffic office and vehicle planning required.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and their impact on transport planning.
- Excellent leadership abilities to guide colleagues towards achieving operational goals.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about logistics and possess the necessary skills to contribute positively to our transport planning efforts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
