Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Scaffolding Yard Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing materials coming in and out from site, servicing all materials, unloading and loading vehicles and keeping the yard running smoothly.
Duties
- Safely load and unload scaffolding materials using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts
- Manage stock levels and organise materials within the yard to optimise space utilisation
- Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding components for safety, damage, or wear
- Support the movement of heavy materials around the yard, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfilment of orders and project requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, construction, or materials handling is desirable
- Valid forklift licence or experience operating forklift trucks is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of scaffolding systems will be advantageous
- Familiarity with scaffolding and specific components
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures related to construction sites and warehouses
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding environment

Pay: £100.00-£110.00 per day
