Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, for the delivery of goods.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working order and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in a commercial driving or delivery driver role.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Skip experience is required.
