We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Family Support Worker on behalf of one of our clients in the Darlington Area. This is a blended working role, offering flexibility to work from home or the office. However, due to the nature of the position, a significant proportion of your time will be spent working directly with children and families either within the office or delivering support in family homes.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing practical and emotional support to families who need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to children and families within their homes and the community
- Work collaboratively with families to improve outcomes and wellbeing
- Build positive, trusting relationships with service users
- Deliver targeted interventions and support plans
- Maintain accurate records and case notes
- Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure coordinated support
Key Requirements
- Experience working with children and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working, including travel within the Darlington area
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Contract Length: 3-6 months with expectation of an extension
Pay Rate: £16.62 per hour
Working pattern - 37 hours per week.
