Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our warehouse and logistics functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in warehouse management, materials handling, and logistics operations. This role requires fluency in both English and Chinese, along with strong leadership skills to build and maintain an efficient team. The successful candidate will ensure that all shipping and receiving activities run smoothly while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities span across two core areas: warehouse operations and logistics coordination.
Warehouse operations
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Implement and maintain a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimise inventory control and workflow efficiency.
- Lead and train warehouse staff on best practices in materials handling and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, ensuring all machinery is in good working order and meets safety regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
Logistics coordination
- Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers, ensuring service level expectations are met.
- Monitor import and export shipment paperwork to ensure the relevant customs information is entered by clients, provide customs assistance where required
- Liaise with customs clearance agents to ensure timely and compliant submissions in accordance with HMRC regulations.
- Oversee shipment and delivery status, identify and ensure resolution of active shipment incidents.
- Monitor all logistics matters closely, including collection scheduling, delivery tracking, and customs updates, while providing proactive problem-solving and customer support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by operational demands.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and external partners.
- Requires fluency in both English and Chinese
