Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Deputy Manager (Nurse) to join our team. This pivotal role involves supporting the management of a high-quality care facility specialising in senior and specialised care, including dementia and general nursing. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive nursing experience, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, carers, and other team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Coordinate and oversee medication administration, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Lead case management activities, developing personalised care plans for residents with complex needs such as dementia or disabilities.
- Foster a safe environment by implementing infection control measures and health & safety policies.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive resident support.
- Support the recruitment and supervision of new team members to maintain a motivated workforce.
Experience
- Proven experience working within nursing homes with a focus on senior care or dementia care.
- Demonstrable supervisory or team management experience within healthcare settings.
- Experience in medication administration for individuals with complex health needs.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations related to healthcare environments. This role requires a compassionate leader with excellent organisational skills who is committed to delivering outstanding patient-centred care in a supportive environment. All applicants must hold relevant nursing qualifications recognised within the UK healthcare system and possess current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
Pay: £23.00 per hour
