ROLE OVERVIEW
You will lead our Property Transfer function, the team at the heart of smooth, timely sales, purchases and remortgages across a large residential portfolio. This is a pivotal role where your judgment, organisation and people leadership ensure every assignment and notice is handled with accuracy, care and pace.
You will coordinate the end to end process, set high standards and coach your team to deliver against SLAs and fee-income targets. With a blend of service mindset and commercial focus, you will streamline workflows, strengthen stakeholder relationships and continually improve how we support residents, clients, conveyancers and lenders.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Most days you’ll be overseeing a high volume caseload, guiding your team on complex lease queries, checking key documents and unblocking issues to keep completions on track. You’ll be in regular contact with solicitors, lenders and internal teams, monitoring SLAs, reviewing fees and using data to drive decisions and improvements.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- Accurate, audit-ready documentation with zero tolerance for data errors or compliance breaches.
- A motivated team with clear goals, strong coaching, fair workload balance and low escalation rates.
- Excellent feedback from residents, clients and conveyancers, reflected in CSAT and complaint reduction.
- Strong fee performance with robust invoicing, recovery and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Measurable process improvements that reduce cycle times and rework while increasing capacity.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
- Managing and prioritising the team’s pipeline of sales, purchases and remortgages to meet SLAs.
- Reviewing and approving management information packs, certificates/consents and completion statements.
- Liaising with conveyancers, lenders and internal colleagues to resolve lease queries and unblock cases.
- Ensuring accurate apportionments, arrears clearance and invoicing of transfer-related fees.
- Monitoring performance dashboards, reporting on KPIs and implementing workflow improvements.
- Coaching team members, handling escalations and embedding consistent, compliant ways of working.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
- You’re a hands on leader who thrives in a high volume, detail critical environment.
- You combine empathy and clear communication with a firm focus on outcomes and deadlines.
- You are commercially minded, comfortable discussing fees and ensuring fair recovery.
