Job Description -
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Front of House Café Supervisor to join our friendly team in a busy café set within the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.
This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who enjoys leading by example, motivating a team, and ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and exceptional service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supervising and supporting our Front of House team of 8-10 part-time colleagues
- Assisting with staff rotas alongside the Deputy Supervisor
- Delivering on-the-job training and maintaining high service standards
- Monitoring daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure completion
- Taking and serving food and drink orders
- Operating the till and handling customer transactions
- Maintaining cleanliness across front and back of house areas
- Replenishing stock and supporting café operations
- Assisting with special events and functions
- Creating a positive, friendly and efficient experience for every customer
What We're Looking For
You will be a confident and organised supervisor with a passion for customer service and hospitality.
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in a café, hospitality, food & beverage or visitor attraction environment
- Experience leading, motivating and developing a small team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Flexible approach and willingness to support all areas of the business
- Honest, professional and committed to high standards
Working Hours
- 32 hours per week
- Generally 08:30 – 17:00, four days per week
- Sundays and Mondays are regular working days
- From April to August, Tuesday and Wednesday include late shifts from 12:30 – 21:00
