About the client:
Our client is a renowned heritage and visitor attraction, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to enjoy its historic buildings, landscaped grounds, and cultural significance. They are committed to providing an exceptional experience for guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the site.
An opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Operative to join the team, helping to ensure that visitor and staff areas are maintained to a consistently high standard. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Please note that access to the site via public transport involves approximately a 1.5-mile walk from the nearest bus stop. Therefore, this role may be more suitable for candidates with their own transport.
Hours of work: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are scheduled between 08:00 and 10:00 each day.
- Cleaning and sanitising public areas, including visitor toilets and washroom facilities
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout communal areas
- Cleaning and tidying staff kitchen and welfare facilities
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning of office areas
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with site procedures
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet roll, and paper towels
- Reporting any maintenance issues or cleaning supply requirements to management
- Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and within agreed timescales
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
