Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-time Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the restaurant industry while providing excellent service to our customers. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring guests enjoy their dining experience through attentive service, efficient food delivery, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring they feel welcome from the moment they arrive
- Serve beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Assist guests with menu selections, upselling specials or additional items to enhance their experience
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area throughout service
- Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently during food preparation and serving
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Process payments accurately and provide excellent guest service during the transaction
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
