Role: Slinger Signaller

Rate: £20ph
The successful candidate will act as a slinger and also undertake slinging/signalling duties as part of daily operations. Must also hold a fit to work medical along with CPCS
Duties:
- Plan and supervise lifting operations in accordance with the lift plan, method statement, and risk assessments
- Attaching and detaching loads safely to the crane using the correct lifting accessories (chains, slings, shackles, etc.).
- Liaise with the Appointed Person to ensure lifting operations are properly organised and executed
- Ensure the crane is set up safely, on suitable ground, and within its operating limits
- Check all lifting equipment, accessories, and certification are in date and fit for use
- Maintain safe exclusion zones and ensure unauthorised personnel do not enter the lift area
- Monitor and control lifting activities to avoid overloading, instability, or collision with structures/services
- Conduct daily visual checks and pre-use inspections of lifting equipment and record as required
- Report any defects, near misses, or incidents in line with site procedures
Must have:
- CPCS Card Slinger/Signaller
- Strong past experience
- Must supply references
- No-nonsense approach and good work ethic is a must
