Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, assisting with daily activities and promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records of care provided
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a friendly and respectful environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff
- Maintain clear communication with team members, clients, and their families regarding care needs and progress
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation in line with individual preferences and dietary requirements
- Use IT systems to update records and document care activities efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation when necessary
- Good understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- IT literacy to manage electronic records accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
