We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Management Team.
Reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager, the post holder will work as part of the Financial Management team. The role primarily focuses on the provision of analytical services to the Financial Management team to identify key financial issues and enable accurate month end accruals to be made. The role will also assist with budget management and setting and perform a variety of finance related tasks to strict month and year end deadlines.
We are looking for someone who is numerate, a team player, enthusiastic, with good communication skills both verbal and written. The successful candidate will have advanced Excel skills and experience in analysing large amounts of data. We are seeking someone with previous experience working in a management accounts environment, preferably within the NHS, with some experience in month end reporting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Post:
Preparation of data and information for the monthly reporting process
Maintenance of the budgets for specific areas to be covered by this post
Confirmation of budget when recruitment occurs
Clear error suspense items that are rejected by the finance system
Variance analyses to ascertain reasons for over and underspends
Budget and actuals uploads onto the Financial General Ledger
Being a part of the annual Business Planning and Budget-setting process
Maintain Pay budgets, and update as required
Any other financial work as required
Work with budget-holders, as well as colleagues within Finance
Advisory/Contact:
Liaise with other members of the Finance team
Liaise with some budget-holders, across Corporate and Clinical areas
Liaise with some Procurement staff regarding orders, costs and authorisations
Liaise with Human Resources staff– re recruitment and Pay budget etc questions
Liaise with IT and other Corporate areas
Liaise with Trust Auditors
General:
Support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work
To have responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and comply at all times with the requirements of the Health and Safety Regulations
Ensure that Mandatory Training is completed as required
Maintain a smart appearance, and wear an ID Badge
To work across site occasionally if required
