We are recruiting for our client, a busy village pub in Hursley, near Winchester, looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity for a passionate and reliable chef who enjoys working with fresh food in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to a consistent standard
- Manage kitchen sections during busy service periods
- Assist with stock rotation, food prep, and kitchen organisation
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
- Work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen team
- Ensure smooth and timely service
Requirements
- Previous Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie experience
- Confident working in a busy kitchen environment
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred
- Driving licence and own transport beneficial due to village location
