About the role
To carry out cleaning and general upkeep of internal and external communal areas inside our general needs blocks of flats across Birmingham, Black Country & Coventry.
To ensure that all schemes are cleaned and maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents. The role also involves supporting the Housing Officer where required, including adhering to Zero Tolerance policies and reporting any repairs or issues identified on site. The operative will act as a visible staff presence across the schemes and serve as a point of contact for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning of all internal communal areas as directed by the Estates Quality Manager and Domestic Team Leader. This includes corridors, communal lounges, kitchens, internal doors, bin stores, laundry rooms, and all communal windows and glass surfaces as required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all assigned sites.
- Identify and report repairs, maintenance issues, and any concerns in line with company procedures.
- Support the Housing Officer where necessary, including enforcement of Zero Tolerance standards.
- Act as a visible and approachable presence on site for residents.
Health & Safety
- Work in accordance with GreenSquareAccord Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Report any Health & Safety concerns or incidents promptly to the Estates Domestic Supervisor and Estates Quality Manager.
Vehicle Responsibilities
- Conduct daily visual checks of the allocated vehicle.
- Complete required fleet checks in line with company policy.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and in a roadworthy condition at all times.

- To operate effectively and make good quality decisions
- Delivers high quality results in a timely manner.
- Good organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines and to determine an appropriate course of action in spite of changing demands
- UK Full Driving Licence. With a good general understanding and geographical sense of the following areas: Birmingham, Redditch, Coventry and the Black Country Area.
