Cover Supervisors – Southampton
Contract: Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Supply
We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or anyone with strong classroom management skills looking to gain further experience in education.
Flexible day-to-day supply and long-term placements are available.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and follow the work set. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensuring students remain engaged and complete assigned work
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
- Supporting the overall learning environment within the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with young people (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work or similar)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confidence leading a classroom independently
- A professional and adaptable approach
- An interest in education or pursuing a teaching career (desirable)
