We're looking for an organised and motivated Weighbridge Administrator to join our growing team in Welshpool, Powys.

Job Summary
As the Weighbridge Administrator at our Welshpool site, you will be responsible for the smooth running and day to day operation of the Weighbridge. You will ensure good customer service whilst working in a fast-paced environment, greet drivers arriving on site to deliver or collect materials, check paperwork, produce accurate weighbridge tickets for every load, and maintain a high level of administration with an excellent eye for detail.
In addition, you will create, maintain and update management reports which deliver timely and accurate information direct to the management team.
Responsibilities
- Identify the customer’s account and material being transported and ensure that the correct details (e.g vehicle registration, product, haulier etc) are recorded.
- Follow specific processes and procedures for specific customers
- Greet and educate all visitors and drivers in relation to the site rules including the use of PPE
- Answer incoming calls, deal with customer enquiries, and queries, and provide a high level of customer service
- Generate customer monthly reports and statements for sales, accounts and the management team
- Help to maintain the internal FRED5 system to ensure records are accurate, timely and recorded in accordance with our operating procedures
- General admin duties – filing, emails, data input, update spreadsheets
- Liaise closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate records are kept, and support them with the month-end process
- Ensure that the correct documentation is processed, it is accurate and compliant to the industry and company standards.
- Any other reasonable task as directed by the Manager.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting daily office operations
- Managing communications and scheduling (inbound and outbound transport loads).
- Maintaining accurate records and documents – checking paperwork, producing weighbridge tickets, and creating reports
- Providing excellent customer/service support to drivers and our customers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proven track record of working in a fast paced environment
- Previous admin or office experience with a great eye for detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and outlook
- A knowledge of the transport or haulage industry would be an advantage
- Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards and remaining calm.
- Be friendly but confident in dealing with a wide range of customers and drivers
- A proactive and positive approach.
- Experience/knowledge of how a weighbridge works is ideal but not essential, but if you can bring the right qualities and are the right person for the role, we can provide full training.
