Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring high standards of childcare and early childhood education. Duties
- Lead and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and educational activities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and updates
- Organise daily routines including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Manage the nursery environment to ensure it is clean, safe, and stimulating
- Support staff training and development to uphold best practices in early childhood education
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and policies
Qualifications
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong working knowledge of childcare principles, early childhood education, and child development
- Experience working directly with children in a nursery or similar environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively with organisational skills and a nurturing approach

Pay: £27,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
