We’re a small, friendly and growing accountancy practice based in Alton, and we’re looking for an all-round Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role will be working as a job share with our existing Accounts Assistant, in order to together provide consistent support.

The role
You’ll be supporting across a range of areas for multiple clients, including:
- Bookkeeping
- VAT returns
- Payroll support
- Assisting with self-assessment tax returns
It’s a varied, hands-on role where you’ll get involved in a bit of everything.
About you
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in small business accounting
- Have accountancy practice experience
- Have experience with personal tax
- Is confident using spreadsheets
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Is organised and able to follow instructions and processes accurately
- Is comfortable using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS
- Have an accounting qualification

- 15 hours per week
- Working hours can fit around school hours
- Based at our Alton location initially
- Hybrid working strongly considered after an initial settling-in period
