We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our established kitchen team in a busy, fresh-food restaurant in Scotland.
Our concept is simple: 100% fresh, seasonal, farm-to-table cooking with a strong focus on quality ingredients, local suppliers, and creative, modern dishes. We are proud of the team and culture we’ve built and are now looking for a strong number two to support our Head Chef and help drive the kitchen forward.
The Role
As Senior Sous Chef, you will:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead the team confidently in the Head Chef’s absence
- Assist in menu development and seasonal menu writing
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organisation
- Contribute ideas and creativity to help evolve the offering
About You
- Experienced Sous Chef or Senior Sous ready for a new challenge
- Strong background in fresh food kitchens (farm-to-table or seasonal concepts preferred)
- Passionate about local produce and high-quality ingredients
- A natural leader who enjoys developing junior chefs
- Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills
- Positive, hands-on, and team-focused
