Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Palletiser to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently stacking and organising products onto pallets during night shifts, ensuring smooth and accurate shipping and receiving operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. Prior experience with forklift operation and materials handling is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate machinery to load, unload goods within the warehouse.
- Palletise products accurately according to specified layouts, ensuring stability and safety.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records in real-time.
- Handle materials efficiently, including lifting heavy items and organising stock in designated areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, verifying shipments against documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets during night shifts.
- To maintain equipment to enable it to work as efficiently as possible.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, especially in palletising or materials handling roles.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial for understanding equipment maintenance.
- Experience with heavy lifting, shipping & receiving procedures, and load & unload operations is highly valued.
- Candidates should demonstrate organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently during night hours. Pay: £500.00-£576.93 per week
