We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Estimator who can not only deliver accurate quotations but also help shape the future of our estimating function through process improvement, digitalisation and data-driven decision-making.
You'll manage the full RFQ and tendering process, work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams.

What we're looking for
- Experience in an estimating, manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Experience driving process improvement, digitalisation or systems development within an estimating, manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience calculating production times, material requirements and manufacturing costs
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or estimating software
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
What you'll be doing
- Managing the full RFQ and tendering process from initial enquiry through to final quotation
- Calculating material, labour and manufacturing costs to produce accurate, competitive quotations
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Preparing detailed job cost summaries and supporting the sales process
- Identifying commercial, operational and technical risks during the quotation stage
- Maintaining accurate costing records and pricing data
- Monitoring estimate performance by comparing estimates against actual production costs
- Analysing variances and identifying opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and margins
- Helping to drive the development of more digitally enabled estimating systems, processes and business intelligence.
- Working closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Sales teams to support business growth
