Poly Graphics Ltd is a busy, signage and graphics company based in Cotgrave, Nottingham. We produce and install a wide range of signs and graphics for commercial clients, including built-up letters, sign trays, wall graphics, window graphics, vehicle graphics, wayfinding signage, hoarding, vinyl graphics, and internal and external signage.
We are looking for a reliable, practical and experienced Sign Fitter to join our team. This is a site-based installation role, so the right person must have strong practical fitting knowledge, understand fixings and substrates, and be confident installing vinyl graphics using both dry and wet application methods.
The successful applicant must be flexible with overtime, early starts and occasional working away. Working away is not a regular requirement, but it will form part of the role when needed.
The role will include
Installing signs and graphics on customer sites
Fitting vinyl graphics using both dry and wet application methods
Installing wall graphics, window graphics, panels, trays, built-up letters and external signage
Selecting and using suitable fixings for different substrates and site conditions
Understanding how to fix into materials such as brick, concrete, cladding, plasterboard, timber, ACM, steel and other common surfaces
Reading and working from drawings, job sheets and site instructions
Checking materials, fixings, tools and access requirements before going to site
Loading vehicles correctly and making sure everything needed for the job is prepared
Using hand tools, power tools, fixings and access equipment safely
Working at height where required
Solving practical issues on site in a sensible and professional way
Keeping the van, tools and work areas tidy
Working safely around customers, site managers, other trades and members of the public
Representing Poly Graphics professionally on site
Essential requirements
Previous sign fitting or signage installation experience
Good knowledge of fixings, substrates and installation methods
Confident fitting vinyl graphics using both dry and wet application methods
Full UK driving licence
Flexible with overtime, early starts and occasional working away
Good practical skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work neatly and solve problems on site
Confident using hand tools and power tools
Comfortable working at height when required
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team
Desirable but not essential
CSCS card
IPAF
PASMA
Experience installing sign trays, built-up letters, ACM panels, window graphics, wall graphics, vehicle graphics or hoarding
Experience working on construction sites
Basic understanding of drawings, fixing schedules or site RAMS
