Purpose of the Role
To support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of the home, with a particular focus on compliance, audits, documentation, staff support and maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the effective running of the home.
- Monitor compliance with CQC standards, policies and procedures.
- Complete audits, quality checks and action plans.
- Review care plans, risk assessments and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support, supervise and develop staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Assist with investigations, incidents, complaints and safeguarding matters.
- Liaise with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Participate in the management on-call rota.
- Act on behalf of the Registered Manager in their absence where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior role within a care home setting.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with audits, documentation and quality assurance processes.
- Passion for delivering high-quality person-centred care.
Working Pattern
- Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Required to work alternate weekends.
- Participation in the management on-call rota.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
