Housekeeping Assistant
Trethorne Hotel & Golf Club – Kennards House, Launceston
Trethorne Hotel & Golf Club is a busy, family-run business offering a 30-bedroom hotel, golf course, leisure park and restaurant. We pride ourselves on providing a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for all our guests, and we are looking for a hardworking and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join our friendly team.
The Role
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our hotel and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms to a high standard.
- Cleaning public areas, corridors, reception areas and guest toilets.
- Replenishing toiletries, towels and housekeeping supplies.
- Ensuring all areas are clean, tidy and ready for guests.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs to the maintenance team.
- Working efficiently as part of the housekeeping team to maintain excellent standards.
- Following health & safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Is flexible and available to work weekdays and weekends.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- Typical shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Monday to Sunday
- Day shifts

Contract Details
- Job Type: Part-time
- Hours: 16–30 hours per week
- Contract Length: 3 months (with the possibility of extension for the right candidate)
