Overview
We are seeking a motivated CNC Turner / programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components. predominantly working on Fanuc controlled lathes and HASS machine centers. Your expertise will help ensure our production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with the utmost quality.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate CNC lathes & milling machines, and other machining Operation including grinders, and drilling equipment
- Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Identifying technical issues before manufacturing
- Reverse engineering.
- Manufacture and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters to optimize machining processes for precision and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Maintain proper tooling and tooling setup, including tool changes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC equipment and perform basic maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including materials handling procedures within the manufacturing facility.
- Must have flexibility to participate in non machining, mechanical work
Experience
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC machines, such as CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge primarily of Fanuc & HASS controls, .
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge relevant to machining and fabrication processes.
- Hands-on experience with tooling setup, welding, assembly line operations, and materials handling within a factory setting.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for assembly or fabrication tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £18.00-£19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38.5 per week
