Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. The role involves ensuring systems are compliant, fully operational, and meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional)
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
- Perform routine inspections and testing in line with industry standards
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Liaise with customers and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of work
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Participate in an on-call rota and attend emergency call-outs as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relevant fire alarm standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable
- Fire industry certifications (e.g. FIA or equivalent)
- Experience with emergency lighting or other life safety systems
