Automotive Bodyshop Environment
We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated MET Technician / Strip & Refit Technician to join a busy and growing bodyshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional accident repair environment where quality workmanship and teamwork are highly valued.
The Role
As an MET Technician, you will play a key role in the repair process, ensuring vehicles are stripped, repaired and reassembled to the highest standards using approved repair methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Stripping and refitting vehicle panels and components
- Removing and reinstalling mechanical, electrical and trim parts on a wide range of vehicles
- Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition
- Ensuring all nuts, bolts, screws and fixings are carefully labelled and stored correctly during the repair process
- Working closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure efficient turnaround times
- Supporting other departments within the bodyshop when required
- Assisting with the training and development of trainee bodyshop staff
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or similar role within a bodyshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude
- ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential
