Our client, a well-established and growing provider of residential children's services, is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to take full responsibility for one of their children's homes in Solihull. The role:
As Registered Manager, you'll hold full legal and operational responsibility for the home, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements while leading a team to deliver safe, nurturing, outstanding care.
- Manage all day-to-day operations of the home, maintaining full compliance with registration and legislative requirements
- Lead, supervise, and develop a staff team, including rotas, supervisions, appraisals, and training
- Oversee referrals, admissions, and the development and review of individual care plans
- Manage the home's budget and maintain accurate financial and statutory records
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Ensure robust health & safety, safeguarding, and risk management practices throughout
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Champion a culture where young people's voices are heard and their welfare is central to every decision
What we're looking for:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) — essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in residential childcare
- Strong working knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Ofsted Quality Standards, and safeguarding practice
- A track record of leading teams to Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Confident budget management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
